Well, in all my banking customer service days

(before email/cell transfers), we could "register" (sign up) customers for BILL PAYING via the Web; that was the Only option - besides INTER-Account Transfers within FI (what I meant by transferring between online accounts). Easier for my personal banking since it's all in one place - loans, CCs. When it came to Funding another person's account Outside, forget it. Wire Or Western Union was the way!

I remember people calling to ask about sending money to Tom, Dick or Mary at such and such bank, and it was a NO-GO back then. Pay the wire fee to gift funds. Sounds like Pony Express now....

So, WHAT IS THE PURPOSE of Zelle again??? lol
