Re: Previous Notary took an assignment but never showed up

Maybe the other notary flaked out and decided they had better things to do. Maybe right now, they are trapped in their car at the bottom of a ravine, eating the last of their chapstick, hoping to be found. Either way, it's not your problem.

One of the great things about doing this is that I'm not responsible for anything that happened before i got the assignment.

Loan officer didn't call you back? Underwriting took forever and kept asking for additional docs? Notary didn't show up?

None of that is my fault or my problem, and most people don't take out their frustrations on me. They are grateful to (finally) get the process over with.

I look at it like this - every time another notary drops the ball and I get the assignment last minute and save the day, maybe there's some small glimmer of hope that the TC/SS will remember this, and not send the next assignment out on a cut-rate cattle call. Maybe they will call me and get it done right, and on time.

I know that's asking a lot, but maybe.
