have a problem. What ever happened to that?

By calling, you let them know when you will be coming and can verify the address. If they say they have been contacted by a notary previously, let them know that you are assigned as of now, and will see them at: xxxtime. It's that simple.

Everyone is going around the barn with all this gabble - you simply CALL before you go. Then it's done.
