Overall, our business is making less in this industry than anyone else in our field. The appraisers are getting paid much more than 10 years ago as do Surveyors, brokers, realtors and title companies who consistanlty have no issues rising their rates. Something wrong with us, or should I say the market on NSA's that we keep producing more and more of us than the market can handle and we drive our own fees down. Supply and demand.
We are a society of disposable goods. It lasts a few years, toss it and buy a new one. Coorporations are moving towards robots that can work 24/7, no sick time, no retirement, no 401K and never complain. It's our future. I really cannot see the need for a notary in 20 years...everything will be more perfected and streamline than a person who validates an ID. Thumbprint, we all are chipped and scanned, whatever it may be, but do not think it will be us any longer. jmo |
