US Navy doesn't use "boats" for delivering supplies, they use ships which make about 15 knots in a calm sea.
It takes days to move a freighter to a port where supplies are waiting and days to load.
Not the same as moving cargo 1000 miles across land by truck at 60 miles per hour on interstate.
