Cardboard is a great barrier and used for sheet mulching. It eventually decomposes, attracts worms and keeps weeds out.

So far I have no critters so didn't bother with bottom wire fencing. I also want the option of planting things that grow deep. My beds are 8 inches but I removed enough base soil to make the beds 12 to 16 inches deep and plant accordingly,

I don't know when I can install drip system but go camping in May so need to figure that out. I have installed a lot of drip.

Gives me a chance to spread out expenses too.

Let's keep each other posted and hope others join in. Who needs JP? Yech! Haha
