I don't have it backwards, but I think you do. It was never an issue until the right-wing crazies started making it an issue. The right-wing needs its bogeymen, so they create fear and panic about problems that don't exist. It's just like CRT - a non-existent problem, and we now have laws in the dumber states to prevent teachers and educators from doing something they weren't doing in the first place. Does anyone seriously believe that a middle-school student is going to sit down with a law book and understand complex theories that are taught to a select group of advanced law school students?
