All good suggestions given in thread to avoid hard feelings. Honestly, people with specific mindsets against the vaccinations & precautions in general, will not take well the decisions of family/friends to socially distance themselves - let alone during "prescribed" social events. You're smart, to be... Smart! Shrewd, cautious and considerate (and that includes the concern for THEIR welfare, as well).
So much going on virtually to share and engage, may have to get creative. Do you sing? Play an instrument? Stand-up comedy routine? You could still be the life of the party at home Just make sure they understand you're NOT against sharing a plate with them! Lol
I have an engagement tomorrow with friends. The hostess has ovarian cancer (I have firsthand knowledge of how deadly that is) but is remarkably well and doesn't look sick; her husband thoughtfully confirmed guests' (just a few) vax status. I could unabashedly say, "Fully vaccinated" after getting my 2nd shot a month ago. Okay . . . 2 days shy of the 30-day mark!*
