Apparently, that's an all too common misconception. I heard again today that vaccination provides a much, much higher (something like 3x higher) level of protection than just having already had Covid. I believe that's based on comparison of actual measurement of antibodies in different people.
The ignorance and disinformation on this issue is overwhelming (but I understand how tough it can be to get accurate info when certain sources are so actively promoting wrong info). What gets me the most is that some people who've decided to not get vaccinated because they "don't know what's in it" and/or "it's experimental" are often all in on medicines like Ivermectin (even taking the dosages prepared for horses), etc. For the record, the number of Covid vaccines administered worldwide has now surpassed the billion dose mark...
