Our law requires full name as on ID and signature to match our ID and thus our commission. When this took place, I was renewing license so changed my signature to shortened version so I wouldn't have to write the whole dang thing In other words, if you have a squiggle sig, you are ok but anytime you print your name it must be entire name as on the commission. IMO, Mills has been lucky to make it thus far. Just goes to show how little lenders, TC and many recorders actually know about notary law. |
