Looks like sigtogo/OR didn't need to change her name and signature on her license; she could have just brought a credible witness when she had her oath of office notarized, and have the credible witness swear to the short version of the name. Unlike a few other states often mentioned in this forum, neither Oregon nor Vermont limit credible witnesses to cases where the signer doesn't have ID. We can use a credible witness just because we feel like it (or in this case, to cut through silly red tape). |
