Here's a blog post for the Internet Archive about what it takes to keep digital information accessible for the long haul.

The details are a little different for notaries, but the same general ideas apply to our signers when they sign electronically, and for us if we store digital videos of RON sessions, old digital certificates, or digital notary journals.
