My husband and I are both in our mid-forties and to make a long story short, we both have lost our parents already. At age 19 I lost my mother. So both of us look at life as a precious commodity and treat those around us as treasures because you never know how long you are going to have them around. Not to make this a drepressing topic on this board...
This is a professional board after all...learn from each other and help each other out... It is just an idealism that has eveloped me due to what life has handed me. It can make you or break you. I try to make the most of all my situations. Look for the silver lining...My faith has given me all the silver linings I can handle for the time being...:o) I tell my daughter it is building my character and that my shoulders are broad enough that I can handle it when these situations come around.
