I don't think most men are really "thinking" some times. Sounds like your signer is just thinking of his own personal comfort....wants to get his docs signed.....and could care less about your safety trekking out in the snow and ice. That said, always be careful.....take care of yourself and your safety first.
Some times I make my husband go with me and wait in the car in such a situation and just explain to the signer my husband didn't want me to come alone all this way. They always invite him to come in and some times he does. Last time he did that....he went promptly to the family room and sat and watched football......and started to SNORE loudly. My signer got a great kick out of that. Me....not so much.....
