Why do we make a big deal about confirming appointments? More than once, I've been given a wrong address in my notary confirmation (transposed numbers or different street entirely), and the borrower had to correct me. Others where the borrower had never agreed to the date and time specified, weren't expecting anyone and needed to reschedule. Yet another one (today) where the signer needed some questions answered by the escrow officer (who wasn't returning his calls) or he's cancelling the appointment. In other words, there are multiple reasons why calling to confirm is important. |
