I've been through everything you have described and there is this overwhelming tendency for them to micromanage the closing and throw in some condescending looks and remarks. I once had an agent call me "unprofessional" in front of everyone in the room (buyers, sellers, l.o.) just because I wouldn't "explain" how they calculated all the figures on the Settlement Statement. I prefer one on one closings with either the buyer or seller in their homes or at a place like Starbucks. In my almost 10 years of closings I think there has only been one agent I dealt with that was actually nice, respectable, and more laid back. It was the smoothest purchase closing ever and only involved a single buyer. |
