pick one but you can't be both; and if your employer asks you to notarize in the course of your duties, I see no problem in doing so...but you do it as an employee, not an IC
But then, as I said previously, I have a great relationship with my bosses so I have no problem doing it - now walk-ins into the office are a different story - those I do charge for (one of my attorney bosses is also a notary and she, too, will charge for a walk-in requesting notarization). |
