I'm covered, because the law in my state provides two different short-form acknowledgement forms, one for people who are signing in their own right, and another for people who are signing in a representative capacity. So when I include the capacity in the certificate, I'm doing exactly what VT law tells me to do. Before the new law went into effect in 2019, it had always been traditional to indicate capacity in VT notarial certificates, but there was no precise wording provided.
