raised ranch - upper and lower level - so when we sold, radon testing was required, on our dime and any mitigation was on our dime too - could not close til done. Thankfully our test came out okay.

Just like folks on well water - in CT they were few and far between but most required a potency test for the well water; when I asked for a potency test down here when we went under contract for our house, the realtor had absolutely no idea what I was talking about; they finally found someone who could explain what I meant and they got it done; we wouldn't close until that was done.

I'm still amazed about the countertops..never would have given that a thought. I considered getting them here at one point too - but read they can be very fragile and subject to nicks and other stuff...said okay, never mind. Glad I did
