Last week, I arrived at a signing with a couple in their 80's. When the client answered the door and saw me in my mask he shook his head and said:
"There's no need for you to wear a mask, my wife and I don't go anywhere."
I told him as politely as I could that he was my fifth signing of the day, and perhaps it would be a good idea for him to put on a mask. After all, he had no idea where I had been. They declined.
I had another where one of the signers told me she was really uncomfortable with me wearing a mask in her house. I assured her I wasn't there to rob the place, and gave her the choice of signing the papers or me leaving, but the mask was non-negotiable. She complained to the title company about it.
It's remarkable to me how many people just don't get it. |
