I've done quite a few Freedom Mortgage packages lately. None have come back ... yet. Had one 2 nights ago (an hour's drive away) that I did notice something different from all the other packages. There was the typical Signature & Name Affidavit where borrower adds AKAs and signs with those variations, immediately below that there's the notarial cert. No problem. Then, there was an additional page to that doc. That additional page with the mentioned blurb, the borrower's name and 4 blank lines. I had him sign (once) with the signature he used throughout the package. That page did not have a notarial cert. His wife's Affid. did not have that additional page. Btw, this package was a complete scan back and I haven't heard anything about any errors ... yet.
Had another Freedom package last night. This last one did not have that additional page.
I guarantee my work and will go back on my dime to correct my error. However, lacking any explicit instructions for that particular situation plus the fact that particular page does not require notarization, I suggest hiring party send page to borrower to complete and send back OR request additional fee to have that page completed like they want. jmo
