Cheryl is correct when she says that you have done a great job for California notaries and that you continue to fight the fight. However, I think your work goes far beyond California and California notaries.
I don't agree with her statement that this legislation is for CA and does not impact any other states. You and I have had a telephone conversation early on about this and although Minnesota passed legislation approving RON, they did it hastily and without some of the information in regard to the problems RON could create.
Don't you agree that when other states start seeing lawsuits in regard to the problems you have brought to the forefront, they may look to the approach California is now taking and could possibly repeal, amend, and change the way RON is performed in their respective states?
I feel that your work in California affects every notary in every state, not just California notaries.
