Longer than me only if you started notarizing loan packages prior to 1998. Most of us, that is the dozen or so that regularly respond to questions on this forum are pretty savvy on all things notary. When contacted all of us quote our fees and are assigned the job. There's little or no negotiation involved. We know that when personally contacted by a signing service upselling the initial lowball offer is important. If they refuse to accept the fee it's their loss because I will fill that time slot with someone who will. I'm guessing newly commissioned notaries would give anything to get an assignment and that's why the low fees are snapped up quickly. |
