This is very helpful info, but a couple of other questions come to mind (although they may only apply to California, where RON is still not allowed). First is the recording and storage of every transaction. I would think there would be some kind of cost associated with that. Also, I'm pretty foggy on how a notary journal would be kept in those states where one is required. That could be another potentially dicey issue for some. I think the latter issue was one of the problems with the new RON bill that's been under discussion here, since only one sequential paper journal and one sequential electronic journal (if memory serves) are allowed at a time.
