That's what the lenders I use do. They will send an earlier email with a password 'method' for the follow-up email or DocuSign. Usually, they say it's the last 4 digits of their SS#. That helps...I guess.
I have a horror story from a major title company escrow 'team' I used prior. The EO assistant emailed me the entire package including all loan docs for a loan that wasn't mine. It was in fact for a friend of mine, another LO, that I happened to work alongside at another brokerage. The only thing I was curious about, and peeked at, was his commission. <g> Actually, I could have told him, and the other broker and we would probably have all laughed. We're pretty close friends.
I deleted it and never said a word. I also never used that escrow team again. Yikes! |
