NC Drivers Licenses
Posted by  NCsignguy of NC on 4/3/07 11:15am Msg #183523
I was going to call the NCSOS on this. Females who are married often have their maiden names on NC driver’s license, rather then there middle names (most women wanted there middle names instead of the maiden but NC like to put the maiden name in there).
Example
Mary Jane Smith get married to John Doe, will read Mary Smith Doe on NC drivers license.
Now the docs read Mary J Doe or Mary Jane Doe. Besides the drivers license I ask for a library card or credit card to confirm the middle name. Then I do a same name affidavit Does anyone one know the correct procedure for this? I know someone else in NC had to run across this.
