When Paul Pelosi opened his front door, I suspect he was pretty happy to see police officers there, so I think he could be forgiven for smiling for a moment. Soon after that, though, I saw fear on his face. I also saw both men with hands on the hammer, apparently struggling for control of it, and what you may have interpreted as laughter looked to me like a grimace. And in fact, it was as soon as the intruder managed to pull it away from Pelosi's grasp, that he swung it into Pelosi's head.
This subject just shows the power of suggestion. If you watched that video with a preconceived expectation (most likely influenced by sources who suggested that was what was going on), then like Jan said, you're going to see what you want to see.
The fact that Paul Pelosi ended up with his head bashed in should tell us a great deal about what was really going on there. |
