I want to add my first impression was that when the door was open (weird in itself as nobody knocked), they looked like two old friends standing together, like they were caught in the act of something and frozen like a deer in headlights.
If Pelosi thought his life was in true danger would have screamed, jumped away, covered his head, something other than holding a drink in one hand (which is bizarre if being attacked) and standing side by side to each other with both of them holding a hammer facing the door.
It was brutal nonetheless, but just weird all the way around how this went down. I believe I read it took over 16 strikes to break the glass...that in itself would have made me do something more than carry a drink in one hand waiting on cops and then say "hi".
