There are far too many guns in the USA to eliminate them. Over 430 million of just the ones registered. Millions more have not registered around from the days they didn't have to or collectors. Even if they stopped manufacturing guns here, they'd still be around for centuries. The only thing that would do is disarm people against the criminals who would have a field day knowing they will not be harmed in a criminal act. We have 3D printers that can make a gun. Would you rather them start making bombs and blowing up homes and killing masses of people? That too has been done before.
