I've heard the argument elsewhere that poll workers could do it if necessary, but as you pointed out, they already have enough to do. As I said in my reply to LD, once you start down the slippery slope of "they just don't want them to sway the voters", you're opening up a Costco-size can of worms.
I have a lot of problems with that law that I'm not going to go into, but this provision made absolutely no sense to me. |
