"Nothing wrong with where they came from, they came here because the land was very cheap and a new country."
Oh really? My ancestors came here from Italy, on a boat with hundreds of other immigrants, and not a single one of them came here looking for cheap land. They came here for a new life and the opportunity to better themselves because they couldn't do that in their old country. They had no interest in "fixing" whatever was wrong in their home country.
Where did you get this idea that immigrants came here because they wanted cheap land? Cite something to support that.
"Illegal immigrants do not qualify for Obamacare but under federal law, hospitals and clinics are required to provide urgent medical care without regard to legal status."
So what's the alternative you would suggest - we just let them die on the street? Then maybe we send trucks around every few days to collect the corpses and throw them into a pit? That's the logical conclusion of the argument you're trying to make - deny them urgent medical care when they need it. And then what? Or did you not think it through that far?
"Recognizing that many illegal workers fill jobs communities need, 26 states offer them *state-funded* benefits."
That's not welfare, and it actually supports the fact that we NEED them here - they are doing the essential jobs that Americans don't want to do.
Do you want to stop them from coming here? Stop telling them how great we are and start helping to solve the problems that are causing them to come here in the first place. Take off the blinders, look around you, stop regurgitating things you read on the Internet, and see what's actually happening in the world.
I'm curious - do you identify as a Christian? If so, how do you justify your attitude with what the Bible tells us to do? |
