That's not true, they didn't have to get on the plane, nobody forced them, they could have stayed where they were just like any other relocation. What do they have if they stayed? Nothing, so they have nothing to lose either way. are they promised something when bussed somewhere? IDK, does it matter? I don't see anything cruel or inhumane, infact being flown in a private jet is much nicer than a bus trip, and to a much better destination. I bet they are loving it, seriously. Anything is better than what they had no matter where they end up, right?
Besides that, why should DeSantis tell anyone where the migrants are going? They come here unannounced. Do we owe that to a sanctuary state? I don't think so. Florida has an immigrant relocation program. Spending 12 million now is better than having them here and supporting them which would cost taxpayers more money. Besides that, he set an example here, like it or not, and probably will not take it for granted. Florida is not a Sanctuary State. Those that are should step up and own it and quit complaining when they get what they asked for.
Per the Miami Herald:
“Florida can confirm that two planes with illegal immigrants that arrived in Martha’s Vineyard today were part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities,” Taryn Fenske, the governor’s communication director, said in a statement. Martha’s Vineyard is an island south of Cape Cod, popular for summer vacations and accessible only by plane or ferry.
So there you go. They thought they were untouchable, guess not. They had to be flown in, so be it.
