Maybe both sides of congress need to be replaced because I haven't seen one on either side worth anything, especially portraying honesty or integrity in recent years. Did you see these tweets or just something you read? They need to focus on pressing matters, not just some stupidity that means nothing.
The reality is, we need to phase out everything that consumes fossil fuels for cleaner alternatives. We are on the fast track for killing life on earth again. Animals are already going extinct, hyper weather events, and rising seawater is going to be here sooner than predicted. We have our comfy lives and don't want to make changes. We knew this back in the 1980s..what have we done? Not much sadly.
I have an idea, let's make clean energy more affordable than not. That means making cars, and appliances affordable to the masses that use this technology. Offer free installation of charging ports, lower electricity costs, offering incentives to make the switch. Nobody at the moment can afford to do that in large numbers because of the cost. Biden or the next President elect should task a force and address this issue if serious about saving the world. Maybe pay a good portion of the expense for some electric plants to start moving to nuclear or even nuclear fusion. We are just giving other countries so much money that could be used here to keep us sustainable.
My opinion? Phasing our natural gas which has always been considered a "clean energy" is not the priority or the real polluters out there, but eventually, all need to go. Let's start with the largest polluters first and work our way down. I think gas stoves is not in th top 10. jmo |
