Re: Question Regarding Certificates?

It depends.

In your state (CA), as in mine (VT) starting a week from now, you must complete the certificates while you are with the signers. So you can combine the names on one certificate, but only if you meet with all of them at the same time.

If the document package has one document (say, a deed) and several certificates just because there are several signers, and you have to replace the certificates because the wording is wrong, you could replace them all with one certificate. But if there are several different documents, say, a deed and an affidavit, each with several certificates, you will need at least one certificate for each document.

Finally, certificates usually come at the end, but there's no law that says they have to . If the requester wants the certificate at the beginning, that's allowable (but rare).
