You must complete a certificate for each notarial act. I've never come across one document requiring more than one certificate, as you witness the signature once per document. You may have multiple documents in one 'package'.
It is possible that you would have more than one name on a certificate, because you may have witnessed more than one person signing the one document.
However, I've never had more than one certificate per document.
The only iffy exception I can think about are some loan packages have a form (ie Name affidavit and Signature affidavit) where the signer is signing in two different places on the same page...if both signatures require notarization, then I'd complete a separate certificate for each one as I consider it two separate notarization acts.
If your question is about replacing non compliant certificates, then you should substitute a compliant certification for each non-compliant one.
Beware that sometimes (if you're doing loan signings) lenders will include 'extra' certificates not attached to any signature page! |
