Agree with you and Linda. That Capacity is <separate and distinct> from notary public role. But according to the thread, the end user Company didn't have me appointed as AA. It was the hiring agency they were using; and that agency took it upon themselves to offer "helpful" instructions for the poor guy who called. The form was for the notary to complete - appointing him/herself as AA (my question earlier was: By whose authority - the workplace mngmt Or the staffing co. who found the guy?)
It must be a standard form in their staffing packages, and imo the staffing firm should have confirmed with Employer client first. Whose to say they even have the right to see that a notary or anybody else appoints herself as AA?
I would have been more comfortable if Direct Employer had requested/appointed me. In the end, they probably had no idea the staffing co. they hired was doing this. Guy was a smart cookie; not only did he find Me here, he also made a call directly to workplace HR and was told to bring it all in with him.
p.s. I grilled guy when speaking to him to see what docs he had & were still valid; active green card & DL. I wonder if staffing firm includes that separate notary form for non U.S. citizens as standard practice? He uploaded everything to me cuz I insisted on knowing Who & How I was being "appointed." |
