I think you and Cheryl may be talking about two sides of the same coin. I don't believe those posts are about "blame". Instead, I believe that most posts on this topic, including Cheryl's, are intended to try to focus on solutions. And I think that readers here "get" that not all ss's are the same. It's the bad apples we'd all like to get out of business.
I've posted some of my thoughts about how we got to where we are below, but more for understanding where we are than for casting blame, which I believe to be completely unproductive. Understanding some of the history of our business can help us make informed decisions about how to survive and grow. Same applies to the very informative OP.
This statement of yours, Cari, is right on point: "I totally agree with you as to "why" EO's need to invest in competent NSA's, 100%. So let’s all start thinking about how our own marketing efforts can convince SS and TC’s to hire reputable NSA’s and not just any ole’ notary."
There will probably always be a place for some signing services. That doesn't mean that for many NSAs, working directly for tc's isn't a better option. |
