My downfall with this bunch started last September. I had 10 jobs for them in quick succession between then and Feb 1. So they owe me $965. After I finally got wise I started to try and do something about it. I have tried all of the things everyone here has mentioned, the last being in July I filed an accusation of fraud with the Washington County PA district attorney. They finally wrote back they had no reason to pursue it. It is far too costly to go all the way to PA to see them in small claims court and too costly to try and hire an attorney up there to represent me. The flat fee collection agency that NNA recommended to me got nowhere, although they did supposedly notify the credit agencies. They said that usually works, but so far nothing. I asked the NNA why they keep such scum on their membership, but they have not replied, either. Here in Tampa our local NBC affiliate has investigative reporters who go after guys like this that are ripping off senior citizens, which would include me. I wonder if they would give me the name of their counterparts in PA, and would those guys bother to help out an out of towner? Or would SW turn around and sue me? |
