I agree with Doris. Don't beat yourself up too badly over this. You were just learning about this field and everything was new to you. One would think that an organization that claims to represent notaries public and wants to be the ultimate authority on all things 'notary', would provide more accurate information vs. misleading people, ostensibly to sell their programs.
Many of us have had disheartening experiences with them in the past, so you're not likely to see many here who are big supporters of theirs... Chances are that there won't be any repercussions for you from whatever signings you've conducted, but then that's not an area where I feel qualified to give any advice.
Kudos to you for reaching out and for being willing to share your story here. I'm sure others will benefit from your efforts, so I hope that brings you good karma!
