Don't throw in the towel just yet. You can still do loan signings . . . just not for a Georgia property. That still leaves closings for properties in other states. You are just going to have to know your audience and market accordingly. I am quite certain there are Georgia residents that are purchasing, refinancing, and selling homes in other states (vacation homes, investment properties, relocating, etc.). You would also have the occasional business traveler who is in town and needs to sign loan documents for his/her home in another state. You can do general notary work. There is plenty of business out there for you. You just have to know what all you are able to do as a Georgia notary, and like I said before, market accordingly. I wish you the best of luck. |
