Re: Something to ponder

I am on my mobile so please excuse typing errors. For me both articles hit home. I recently sold a piece of land in Hawaii. The majority of the transaction was done online through DocUsign (automation). There were only two docs that needed notarization during the whole transaction.

I also deal with a loan officer who said they are starting to do online notarizations and they like it. Not all people are comfortable or know how to do things online but the option is available in this day an age.

With this information and armed with this knowledge I have to ask myself where will my mobile notary & signing service be in maybe 5 to 10 years? Hummm... personally I may only have one more notary commission left before automation takes over the majority of my business unless CA changes its Notary laws. I have to consider two things since I am in California; Will CA laws be changed to allow online notarization? If that happens am I willing to accept automation of notarization online and get trained? So for me these articles made me think where will my business be in 5 years? Automation, artificial intelligence, what ever the new buzz word is, how will this effect my business in the future?
