True however, 60 minutes ran a segment and all of them did release your computer. It is counterproductive if they didn't then nobody would pay it, if that makes sense. It's a certain screen that pops up if the same thing, and when they do get your money, usually bitcoin, they do release it. I haven't heard of any yet that did not. A south FL hospital I believe it was a few years back fell victim as well as a utility company....They really have no choice, as they also have everyone's SS numbers, names all that info. they quit messing so much with mom and pop computers and going for multi-million dollar entities where the real money lies and employees get sloppy and click outside links they shouldn't be.
