From my originally linked article: "Nearly half of Republicans (47 percent) believe that Trump won the popular vote, which is similar to this finding. ..." - In the 6th paragraph of the article. On the website, the last two words "this finding" of the sentence is also a link that you can click to view the Dec 2016 poll results (this page http://tinyurl.com/y888ak9g ) This is the headline of that linked article regarding the new poll at that time: "A new poll shows 52% of Republicans actually think Trump won the popular vote".
That is what I pointed out, the December 2016 poll had the number 52% of then responding Republicans verses the newest number of 47% according to the Aug 2017 article I linked and thought was the article you used for your OP as it is the most recent article regarding their most recent poll.
What I found out of place was that you quoted, in the OP, the findings that matched the Dec. 2016 poll (52%) rather than the more recent poll (47%). If we are still confusing each other it might be helpful if you post a link to the exact website page you used for your OP information.
The links, shown in blue, throughout the article are different links to that can be used to research a little deeper as well as citations for information contained within the article itself. Maybe the app version doesn't have the various links (mobile vs regular website version?), if not, you would not have been able to see and use the links that I did when I posted prior, which may have been the reason for the confusion?
