Yes. Columbus was not a traitor, but he was a really bad person. Do some research.

He didn't "discover" America, never set foot on what is American soil, and severely abused the natives in the lands he managed to stumble across. Any monuments to him should be taken down, and especially the one in Columbus Circle in NYC.

The myth of Columbus started with a fictional story written by Washington Irving:

Everything we were taught in school (and may still be taught) about Columbus is BS. As an Italian-American, I am embarrassed by the fact that this miserable individual is held up as a model Italians should be proud of.
