I bought us new bikes! Just inexpensive but nice ones from Walmart. As I walked one out an older guy looked at me, smiled and said, "SOMEone's getting a nice birthday present!" I didn't have the heart to tell him it was for me. Went back the following week and bought my wife one.
As we rode down the block one evening another man said the same thing. I think we are the only adults in our neighborhood who bike.
I've learned a lot of new exercises from PT that work muscles like I would never have thought, and I'm big on stretching. I'll never do toe touches again! Changed my whole way of thinking about how we put unnecessary weight on our knees and overwork our shoulders. Save the joints For middle age! |
