I agree with repeating the habit everyday including quantity first for the sake of building a habit.
Beyond that, I feel it depends on the activity. If you're making machinery you may want to reverse the order. Still, repetition is a large part of retention.
I also believe that being *fascinated* with a matter or activity will skyrocket a person to all sorts of higher achievements. I have climbed a number of tall symbolic mountains in my life from fascination of the subject or activity and having a totally adventurous curiosity of what challenges lay around the next corner. I learned early never to expect that of others. Most people like to drone along and there is nothing wrong with that either.
I joke that I have ADHD with skill sets. Once I learn something well, I have an overwhelming desire to move on and learn more new and fascinating things. That's not always practical and I never move on without first greasing the wheels and putting things in order perhaps for the next person.
That's a good habit that has served me well. NEXT! |
