You may well live far into the foreseeable future and beyond with an attitude like that!! lol
As far as fascination with "around the next corner," my mom subscribed my brother and I to a book mail club, and there was also a mobile library bus making its rounds regularly in the city we attended elem/primary school in. She really fostered and nurtured my love for reading - but ironically she DIDN'T have that love at all. She was engaged in many worthwhile activities which prompted learning/studying as necessity but otherwise not very adventurous in that department.
Me . . . I still gravitate toward the book section of the second hand shops - and hope one day I'll come across The Monster (Grover) at the End of this Book, which mom read to us as we held to the end of our seats waiting for Around the Corner no matter how many times we heard (thanks, Mom
p.s. My personal "corners" have had ominous creatures lurking in them lately, so I tread cautiously . . . |
