Tried the antenna you mentioned, and it actually brought in more stations than that flat thing I had and at a higher signal strength. But I still can't get the ABC affiliate even though the signal strength that Sling reports is the same as other channels it allows me to see.
So, since this is a long weekend with nothing to do, I'll try the obvious alternative - go around Sling and connect the antenna directly to the TV's RF input. If that enables me to get the channel I'm looking for, then the problem is either Sling or the AirTV box I'm using with it, and I'll go from there.
