Wow. That really takes me on a journey – all of the things she experienced – it was like the 30 years of my backpacking experiences flashing before my eyes.
I can so relate to her attitude...like “my feet are on fire, my thighs are burning, and I’ve never been so happy.” My husband would often say, “I’m so tired, but it’s a good tired.” We watched the video together, and we often backpacked together, and hope to do more if health allows.
It has truly inspired me, and brought me back to myself in a way. I could tell backpacking stories…….
So grateful that I can. She’s got me looking longingly at my hiking boots who are whispering, “Go ahead. Just one foot in front of the other...”
