Be sure to do your research on solar panels/companies prior to signing on the dotted line. Had a signing with a lovely couple a year or two ago. They're located in a rural area in the hills and have a solar system ... on the ground rather than on their roof. They were telling me they did a lot of research and talked to various companies before making their decision. What they found was that Tesla is not necessarily the best panels. They also decided to install on the ground because: 1) they have ample property; 2) in case of any repairs, panels are easily accessible; 3) because of the accessibility, easier to clean; and, 4) avoid putting additional weight on their roof plus avoid any damage to the roof.
